🔧 What it does & how to use
This is a versatile jeweller's work holder, also known as a peg clamp, used to hold rings, findings, wooden pegs and other small workpieces steady during engraving, carving, filing and stone setting. It sits on a sturdy metal base that adjusts higher, lower or at an angle to suit your working position, and can be fixed straight to a workbench for a hobbyist or professional set-up.
- Mount the base: fix it to your bench with the included screws, or use it freestanding
- Set the angle: tilt or raise the head to a comfortable working position
- Load the pegs: fit the 8 included pins into whichever holes best cradle your workpiece
- Clamp your piece: turn the side screw to open the jaws, position the item against the pegs, then tighten to hold
- Add extra security: unscrew the wooden handle and grip the metal head in a bench vice if needed
- Work hands-free: engrave, carve or set with the piece held firmly in place
