🔧 What it does & how to use
This foam wheel has a light abrasive, foamy consistency designed to recreate a brushed matt satin finish on watch cases and case backs without gouging or scoring the metal. It's a bench tool for watchmakers and case restorers carrying out satin-finish repairs, mounted on a polishing motor or lathe arbor.
- Mount the wheel: fit onto a bench polishing motor or lathe spindle using the 16mm centre hole.
- Run at a moderate speed: avoid excessive speed, which can generate heat and dull the finish.
- Work the case: pass the case surface lightly and evenly across the wheel, following the direction of the original brushed grain.
- Check progress often: inspect the finish regularly and reapply light passes until the satin texture is restored.
⚠️ Please check your polishing motor or lathe arbor accepts a 16mm bore before ordering, as this wheel is sized to that centre hole.
