It's suited to hobbyist watch tinkerers and professional watchmakers alike, and the six die sizes cover a wide range of case back diameters, including common Oyster-style backs.

• Choose the die: pick the die whose pins match the notches on your watch's case back.
• Fit the adapter: insert the adapter into your turning handle or case wrench.
• Engage the die: seat the die's pins into the case back notches.
• Turn to open: rotate anticlockwise to loosen and lift off the case back.
• Reseal: reverse the steps to screw the case back down after servicing.
