🔧 What it does & how to use

A hand fitting presser is used by watchmakers and hobbyists to seat hour, minute and seconds hands onto their pinions cleanly and squarely, without marking the dial or bending the hand. This model has three posts of different diameters mounted on a rotating head, so you can move between hour, minute and sweep seconds/chronograph sub-dial hands without changing tools.

• Select the post: rotate the head so the post matching the pinion size (1.50mm, 1mm or 0.6mm) is in the working position.
• Position the hand: place the hand over its pinion on the movement, holding it level.
• Press down: lower the tool over the pinion and apply firm, even pressure until the hand seats fully home.
• Repeat for each hand: rotate to the next post size and fit the remaining hands in the same way.
• Check clearance: confirm the hands sit flat and don't catch on the dial or each other before closing the case.
