🔧 What it does & how to use
This tool is used by watchmakers and hobbyist repairers to remove crystals from one-piece watch cases — case designs that can only be opened by first popping out the glass. It comes with 5 differently sized fittings to suit a range of case sizes, plus a small key for stem removal, all housed in a plastic storage box.
- Remove the crown and stem: pull the crown out to the time-setting position. The stem is made in two parts — use the supplied key to detach the half-stem and crown.
- Fit the correct pump tip: choose the fitting that matches the case or case tube size and pull the tube out fully from the air pump.
- Remove the crystal: hold the watch case firmly, rest your thumb lightly over the crystal, press the pump tip against the case and push firmly to release the crystal.
This makes it straightforward to open one-piece cases for battery changes, movement work or crystal replacement, without the risk of prising or scratching damage.
