This wrench grips the notches or slots on a screw-on case back and lets you turn it undone or do it back up without slipping or marking the case. It's a standard piece of kit for hobbyist watch repairers as well as professional watchmakers working on screw-back cases.

• Choose the pins: pick the pin set that matches the spacing of the notches on the case back
• Fit the pins: insert them into the wrench head and secure
• Align the tool: adjust the jaws so the pins sit into the notches on the case back
• Apply pressure: press the tool firmly onto the case back so the pins stay seated
• Turn to open or close: turn anticlockwise to loosen the case back, clockwise to re-tighten it
