🔧 What it does & how to use
A third-hand holder is a bench aid for soldering, gluing, filing or otherwise working on small parts that need to stay put without you holding them. The negative-locking tweezers are closed by default, so once an item is gripped it stays held hands-free until you choose to release it — handy for jewellery repairs, watch and clock work, model-making or any close-up craft task.
- Set up: place the chrome base on a flat, stable surface — the rubber underside keeps it from sliding while you work
- Position the arm: adjust the tweezers to the height and angle you need
- Open the jaws: squeeze the tweezers to open them
- Load the part: position the item between the jaws
- Release to grip: let go of the squeeze and the tweezers close and hold the item in place hands-free
- Free it when done: squeeze again to reopen the jaws and remove the finished piece
