🔧 What it does & how to use

A scriber is a hand tool used by watchmakers, engineers and hobbyists to mark fine, permanent lines on metal, plastic or glass surfaces — for example when setting out cutting lines, marking screw or hole positions, or making small engravings. The hardened carbide tips stay sharp far longer than plain steel, and having two working ends means you always have a fresh point ready without needing a second tool.

• Mark out: Rest the carbide tip against the surface at a low angle and draw it towards you in a single firm stroke to score a clean line.
• Use as a guide: Work against a steel rule or straight edge for accurate, straight scribed lines.
• Switch ends: When one tip needs a different angle or reach, simply flip the tool to use the other carbide point.
• Store safely: Cap or sheath the tips when not in use, as both ends are sharp.
