🔧 What it does & how to use
These punches let jewellery makers and craft hobbyists stamp decorative shapes — hearts, stars, triangles, squares and ovals — directly into soft metal, giving rings, bands, blanks and findings a hand-finished, textured design without engraving tools.
- Choose your stamp: pick the end of the punch with the shape you want to impress.
- Position the metal: rest the workpiece on a solid steel bench block or anvil for a clean, sharp strike.
- Hold steady: grip the punch upright and perfectly vertical over the spot you want to mark.
- Strike once, firmly: hit the top of the punch with a jeweller's hammer in a single controlled blow.
- Check the impression: lift the punch straight up to reveal the approx. 5mm design; repeat for additional stamps or the opposite end for a different shape.
- Metal choice: use on silver, gold or copper — these punches are not designed for hard steel.
