🔧 What it does & how to use
This tester lets you judge whether a watch battery is still good, weak, or flat, without needing any electrical know-how. It reads the result on a simple analog meter with green and red zones, so there's no numbers to interpret. Handy for watchmakers and jewellers checking customer watches at the counter, and equally useful for hobbyists servicing their own pieces at home.
- In-case test: place the watch face-down (or as directed) on the sensor pad without opening the case back.
- Loose battery test: attach the tester's clip to the battery's terminals once it's been removed.
- Read the result: check where the needle settles — a reading in the green zone means the battery is good, red indicates it's weak or needs replacing.
- Repeat as needed: use before a service to confirm the old battery is truly the cause of a stopped watch, or after fitting a new one to confirm it's healthy.
