🔧 What it does & how to use
This small steel anvil gives you a hard, flat, stable surface for riveting, flattening, straightening and shaping metal parts too small for a full-size bench anvil — useful for both hobbyists and professional watch/clock repairers and jewellery makers.
- Set it up: Stand the anvil on a firm, solid part of your workbench so it doesn't rock or slide while you work.
- Riveting: Rest the part (e.g. a hand, pivot or small fitting) on the anvil face and use a hammer and punch to set or peen the rivet.
- Flattening & straightening: Lay bent wire, sheet metal or small components on the flat surface and tap gently with a hammer to true them up.
- Shaping: Use the solid mass of the anvil to back up metal while forming or bending it with pliers or a hammer.
- Aftercare: Wipe the polished nickel surface clean after use to keep it rust-free and looking sharp.
