🔧 What it does & how to use
Handy for anyone doing repetitive hand-stitching or leatherwork — sewers, upholsterers, leathercrafters and jewellery makers who need to protect their fingers from needle pricks, thread burn and awl slips without losing dexterity. The open end lets the fingertip stay exposed for fine feel, while the elastic keeps the guard securely in place as the finger bends.
- Fit it: Slide the guard onto the finger taking the most pressure, usually the one pushing the needle or holding the work.
- Position it: Sit the leather panel over the pad of the finger, leaving the very tip open and free.
- Secure it: Let the elastic strap sit snugly across the back of the finger so the guard doesn't slip during use.
- Work as normal: Bend and flex the finger freely — the elastic moves with you while the leather takes the wear.
- Swap as needed: Move the guard to a different finger, or use a pair, if a job stresses more than one point.
