A bench essential for watchmakers and hobbyist repairers, this vice-style holder grips a movement or case steady so both hands are free to fit hands, change straps, adjust movements or carry out general servicing. Its wide opening makes it equally at home with larger wristwatch cases and full-size pocketwatch movements.

• Open the jaws: wind or slide the clamp open to a width that will comfortably take your movement or case.
• Position the piece: sit the movement or case centrally between the jaws, supported on its edge or rim.
• Tighten to secure: close the jaws gently until the piece is held firmly without excess force.
• Work freehand: with the piece clamped steady, carry out fitting, adjustment or repair work with both hands.
• Release when done: open the jaws to remove the movement or case once finished.
