🔧 What it does & how to use
Each ball is a slightly tacky rubber friction opener used to unscrew and re-tighten smooth, screw-down watch case backs without scratching or marking the case — a standard bench tool for watchmakers and keen hobbyists working on screw-back cases such as those found on Rolex, Omega and similar models. Having all three colours together makes it easy to keep grip sizes to hand and swap between them for different case diameters.
- Position: press the ball firmly and squarely onto the centre of the case back.
- Loosen: turn anticlockwise while keeping steady downward pressure to break the seal.
- Remove: once loose, lift the back away by hand.
- Refit: place the case back and turn the ball clockwise to screw it back down securely.
⚠️ Please check these balls work by friction grip and are only suitable for smooth, unslotted screw-back cases — case backs with notches or slots for a wrench-type tool will need a different opener.
