🔧 What it does & how to use
These strips are a standard watchmaker's fix for reusing an original dial on a new or replacement movement when the dial's feet don't match the movement's feet holes. The double-sided adhesive holds the dial firmly in position, yet the strip can still be peeled away cleanly if the watch needs to be opened up again later.
- Prepare the surface: Make sure the movement plate where the dial sits is clean and dry.
- Cut to size: Trim a strip (or strips) from the 2 x 12mm stock to suit the dial.
- Apply the strip: Stick it to the movement in the position needed to support the dial.
- Fit the dial: Press the dial down onto the strip so it sits flat and central.
- Reassemble: Refit the hands and case up as normal.
- For future repairs: Gently peel the old strip away to release the dial when servicing again.
