This is a capacitor, not a conventional battery — it holds no charge when supplied, as it stores power generated by the watch's solar cell rather than producing its own from internal chemicals. Once fitted, it charges from light exposure; this can take several days, and placing the watch under a bright lamp or in a solar charging box will speed this up.
