🔧 What it does & how to use
A melting dish for jewellers, hobbyist casters and dental technicians who need to liquefy small quantities of precious or base metal ready for pouring into a mould or ingot bar. The angled pouring side lets you direct the molten metal accurately once it reaches temperature.
- Load: place metal scraps, granules or sweeps into the dish
- Heat: apply direct heat with a torch or kiln until the metal fully melts
- Pour: tilt the dish and use the pouring lip to guide the molten metal into your mould or ingot mould
- Cool: leave the crucible to cool fully before handling or reloading
⚠️ Please check you select the diameter that matches the quantity of metal you're melting and your torch or kiln setup — sizes range from 30mm up to 65mm.
