🔧 What it does & how to use

This mould lets jewellers, refiners and hobbyist metal casters pour molten silver or gold into a solid, storable bar up to 1.5kg (50oz) — useful for casting scrap metal, investment bars, or stock for reworking. Cast iron holds up well to repeated pours and the heat of molten precious metal.

• Preheat: Warm the mould gently before pouring to reduce thermal shock and cracking.
• Prepare the cavity: Apply a light coating of a suitable release agent (such as graphite or bone ash) so the finished bar releases cleanly.
• Pour: Pour the molten silver or gold steadily into the 90mm x 34mm x 34mm cavity, up to the 1.5kg/50oz capacity.
• Cool: Allow the ingot to solidify and cool fully before disturbing the mould.
• Release: Tip or lightly tap the mould to free the finished bar.
