3-Piece Clock Pendulum Suspension Spring Set — 0.05mm Spring Steel
A pack of three high-quality brass-blocked pendulum suspension springs with 0.05mm spring steel. This thin-gauge spring is the correct replacement for many vintage German clock movements with wood-stick pendulums — where a broken suspension spring has stopped the clock dead.

Important: Suspension springs MUST match the pendulum weight. 0.05mm is a light-gauge spring for lighter pendulums (typically wood stick or lightweight lead bobs). It is NOT suitable for heavy lead pendulums found in later longcase clocks, which use 0.08mm, 0.10mm or thicker springs. If in doubt, measure the original spring before ordering.
WHY SUSPENSION SPRINGS BREAK
Suspension springs fatigue over time, especially when the clock has been moved with the pendulum still attached. A broken spring is the single most common reason a pendulum clock stops working and cannot be restarted. Replacing the spring is straightforward — these springs simply pin into the clock's back cock and attach to the pendulum crutch using the holes in the upper and lower blocks.
HOW TO FIT
- Remove the pendulum and broken spring
- Unhook the old spring from the back cock
- Insert the new spring — upper block pins into the back cock, lower block receives the crutch pin through the bottom hole
- Reattach the pendulum, level the clock, and set it in beat
