This is a wire thickness gauge used to quickly and accurately identify the diameter of round wire. Slide the wire into the numbered slots around the edge of the disc until you find the slot it fits snugly into — that number gives you the wire's size directly in Standard Wire Gauge (SWG) on one side, or in millimetres on the other.
