This tool lifts hour, minute and second hands cleanly off the movement's centre post, avoiding the scratches and dial damage that can happen when levering hands off with screwdrivers or tweezers. It's a staple bench tool for watchmakers and hobbyist repairers working on hand fitting, dial changes or movement servicing.

• Position the tool: Slide the two lifting arms (jaws) under the hand you want to remove, either side of the centre post.
• Centre it: Make sure the jaws are seated evenly and the plunger sits square over the post.
• Press the plunger: Push down firmly and evenly on the plunger to lift the hand straight up off the post.
• Remove the hand: Lift the tool away with the hand raised clear, ready to be set aside or replaced.
• Repeat: Work through hour, minute and second hands in turn, taking care not to bend the arbor or posts.
