This punch is used to press watch and pocket watch hands securely onto their arbor without transferring force to the movement, giving controlled, damage-free fitting. It's a handy addition to any watchmaker's or repairer's bench, suited to both hobbyists and professionals.

• Select the size: Choose a punch marked slightly larger than the hole in the hand you're fitting.
• Position the hand: Place the hand onto the arbor by hand, aligning it as close to seated as possible.
• Fit the punch: Place the correctly sized punch over the hand, centred on the arbor.
• Press down: Apply steady, even pressure to seat the hand fully onto the arbor.
• Check the fit: Confirm the hand sits level, secure and free-moving before proceeding.
