This vice-style holder grips a watch case or movement firmly on the bench, freeing both hands for fitting crystals, changing straps, servicing movements or other repair work. The jaws are aluminium and steel with non-marking plastic pads, and both the pads and the clamping mechanism are moveable to suit different case shapes and sizes. It's suited to hobbyists and working watchmakers alike.

• Position the case: place the watch case or movement between the plastic-padded jaws.
• Adjust the jaws: slide or move the pads inward until they sit against the case sides.
• Clamp: tighten the adjuster to hold the case firmly without over-tightening.
• Work on the piece: with the case held steady, carry out crystal fitting, strap changes or movement work.
• Release: loosen the adjuster and slide the pads apart to remove the case.
