🔧 What it does & how to use
A spring bar tool is used to release and refit the small sprung pins (spring bars) that hold a watch strap or bracelet to the case lugs, letting you swap straps or resize a bracelet without damaging the case or strap.
This tool comes with several interchangeable end bits, so you can pick the fitting that best matches the shape of the spring bar or bracelet you're working on. To remove a strap, fit the forked end bit onto the tool, locate the small hole or gap in the lug where the spring bar sits, and gently push the fork against the spring bar collar to compress and release it from the lug. To fit a new strap, position the spring bar between the lugs and use the tool to compress one end while guiding it into place, then release so it springs into the lug holes.
Suitable for hobbyists doing occasional strap changes as well as anyone servicing multiple watches, since the range of end bits helps it cope with different spring bar and bracelet designs.
