🔧 What it does & how to use

A pin vice (pin chuck) is a small handheld holder that grips fine drill bits, burrs and other tiny tool shanks that are too small to be held securely in a standard drill chuck. It's a handy bench tool for watchmakers, jewellers and model makers working with delicate bits.

• Select a collet: choose the collet size that matches the shank of your drill bit or burr, within the 0-2.5mm range.
• Fit the collet: insert it into the pin vice body.
• Insert the bit: place the drill bit or burr into the collet.
• Tighten: twist the pin vice to clamp the collet and bit securely in place.
• Use in a drill: insert the pin vice's own shaft (approx 3.2mm) into a standard drill chuck to power the bit, or use the pin vice by hand for fine, controlled work.
