🔧 What it does & how to use

Rodico is a soft, non-abrasive cleaning putty used across watchmaking and clockmaking to lift grease, fingerprints, dust and excess oil from components without scratching or contaminating them. It's equally handy for picking up tiny parts and jewels from awkward, hard-to-reach spots on the bench, and for drawing out broken pivots caught in jewels. Suitable for hobbyists and professional watchmakers alike.

• Prepare: Pinch off a small piece and knead it soft in your fingers.
• Clean pivots & wheels: Dab gently onto balance pivots, train wheel pivots or other parts — dirt, oil and fingerprints transfer onto the Rodico.
• Lift small parts: Press the putty onto tiny components or jewels to pick them up cleanly from fiddly areas.
• Remove broken pivots: Dab onto a jewel to draw out a snapped pivot lodged inside.
• Reuse: Fold to a clean surface and reuse; discard once it's visibly soiled or has lost its tack.
