🔧 What it does & how to use
Each brush has a different bristle hardness for a different job: the fibreglass brush lifts dirt and light rust without scratching, the brass brush is a step firmer for stubborn grime on softer metals, and the steel brush is the most aggressive, for tougher rust and dirt on harder metals. Handy for watchmakers, clock repairers and hobbyists cleaning up movements, plates and cases on the bench.
-
Start soft: Use the fibreglass brush first on delicate parts and matt stainless finishes to lift dirt and light surface marks.
-
Step up if needed: Move to the brass brush for more ingrained dirt or light rust on sturdier components.
-
Steel for heavy rust: Reserve the steel brush for stubborn rust or dirt on harder metal parts, where the softer brushes aren't enough.
-
Light strokes: Work with gentle, repeated strokes rather than heavy pressure, checking the finish as you go.
-
Clean as you work: Tap the brush to clear away loosened debris between passes.
⚠️ Please check the brass and steel brushes can mark softer or polished finishes — test on an inconspicuous area first, and use the fibreglass brush alone on delicate or brushed matt surfaces.
