🔧 What it does & how to use
Injection wax flakes are melted and injected into rubber moulds to create precise wax patterns, which are then invested and burned out to leave a cavity for casting molten metal — the classic lost-wax (investment casting) process used by jewellers, model-makers and dental/industrial casters. Each Freeman colour is a slightly different formula, tuned for a particular balance of flow, flexibility, detail and handling:

Aqua: all-purpose, most popular formula; excellent flow and flexibility for intricate moulds; inject at 71°C

Blue: longest shelf life and highest flexibility; suited to metal moulds and stone-in-place casting; sharp detail; inject at 76°C

Green: toughest of the range (formerly Tuffy Green); durable yet flexible, good for larger pieces; inject at 76°C
-
Pink: tougher than Aqua/Turquoise; quickest solidification; high detail with easy pattern removal; inject at 71°C
-
Purple: carvable formula for reworked patterns; minimal tool clogging; highest injection temperature (79°C) so it resists breaking or softening from body heat

Ruby Red: as Aqua but deep red for easier visual checking of fine detail

Turquoise: similar to Aqua, darker colour, good balance of flexibility, stability and release; inject at 71°C
All formulas contain a built-in release agent, flow well, solidify quickly and shrink minimally, giving clean, accurate wax patterns ready for investment and burnout.

Load: melt the chosen flake colour in your wax injector at its stated injection temperature

Inject: shoot the molten wax into the rubber mould under pressure

Cool: allow the wax pattern to solidify fully before opening the mould

Remove: release the pattern from the mould using the wax's built-in release agent

Cast: invest the pattern and proceed with burnout and metal casting as normal
