🔧 What it does & how to use
This kit is used by jewellers and hobby wax-carvers to build wax ring patterns ahead of casting. Fit the mandrel into the stand to hold it steady, then slide on the sleeve marked with the size you want the finished ring to be. Carve and shape your wax pattern directly around the sleeve, using it as a sizing guide as you build up the design. Because metal shrinks slightly as it cools after casting, each sleeve is sized up to compensate, so the cast ring comes out true to the size marked on the sleeve. With 19 sleeves in half sizes from 4 to 13, the set covers a wide run of ring sizes from a single mandrel and stand.
