🔧 What it does & how to use
A bench pin (also called a jeweller's peg) gives you a solid, elevated support to rest your work against while sawing, filing or drilling metal, wood or other materials. The V-slot cut into the pin cradles round or irregular pieces so they don't slip as you work a saw blade or file across them, and the flat top gives a stable surface for general filing and drilling tasks. It's a core bench essential for jewellery makers, silversmiths, model makers and general craft or hobby workshops.
There are 4 pre-drilled holes on top for screwing the pin directly to the front edge of a workbench, or it can be held in a bench vice or clamp for a temporary setup. Once fitted, position your workpiece over the pin or into the V-slot so it's supported close to the edge, leaving your hands free to guide the saw or file with control and keep the cut or finish accurate.
