🔧 What it does & how to use

This gauge measures the thickness (diameter) of round wire, useful for jewellery making, wire work, model making and any craft where you need to know an exact wire size before ordering material or fitting it to a tool. It's a simple, no-battery, no-calibration disc that gives an instant reading by matching the wire to a slot.

• Choose a side: use the SWG-numbered edge or flip to the millimetre-numbered edge, whichever unit you need.
• Insert the wire: push the wire into successive slots around the edge of the disc.
• Find the snug fit: the correct size is the smallest slot the wire passes through without forcing.
• Read off the size: note the number stamped next to that slot — this is the wire's gauge or mm measurement.
• Convert if needed: use the included conversion sheet to translate the SWG or mm reading into Inches.
