A pair of dividers with hardened, sharp scribing tips and sturdy rounded legs, used for marking out accurate circles, arcs and equal distances on metal, dials and other workpieces. The thread adjustment nut lets you lock the leg span so it holds its setting through repeated use — handy on the bench for jewellers, watchmakers and general metal workers.

Set the span: open the legs to the width or radius you need, then tighten the thread nut to lock it in place.
