🔧 What it does & how to use
A pin vice is a small hand-held chuck used to grip fine drill bits, wire or broaches so they can be turned precisely by hand — essential for jewellers, clockmakers, watchmakers and hobbyists carrying out delicate repairs or drilling. Each vice in this set is double-ended, so one tool gives you two collet sizes, making the full set of 6 cover the 0mm–4mm range with 12 usable openings.
- Choose the collet: pick the end of the vice with the collet size matching your drill bit or wire.
- Open the chuck: unscrew the knurled sleeve to open the collet jaws.
- Insert the bit or wire: slide it into the open collet until seated.
- Tighten: wind the chuck closed by hand until the bit or wire is gripped firmly.
- Work: hold the vice body and turn by hand to drill or manipulate the workpiece with control.
- Switch sizes: flip the vice to use the collet on the opposite end without changing tools.
