• Choose the collet: pick the end of the vice with the collet size matching your drill bit or wire.
• Open the chuck: unscrew the knurled sleeve to open the collet jaws.
• Insert the bit or wire: slide it into the open collet until seated.
• Tighten: wind the chuck closed by hand until the bit or wire is gripped firmly.
• Work: hold the vice body and turn by hand to drill or manipulate the workpiece with control.
