This is a hard-working buffing mop for removing scratches and restoring shine on gold, silver and other metals — ideal for jewellers, watch and clock repairers, or anyone finishing metal by hand. The 50-ply cotton construction and red stitching give it more bite than a soft finishing mop, so it cuts through light scratches and surface marks quickly before you move to a finer polish.

• Mount: Fit the wheel onto your rotary or polishing machine spindle using the 3mm centre hole.
• Load: Apply a suitable polishing compound to the mop face for the metal you're working on.
• Buff: Run the machine and hold the item lightly against the spinning wheel, keeping it moving to avoid overheating or over-buffing one spot.
• Finish: Once scratches are removed, switch to a softer mop and finer compound for a final high-shine finish.
• Clean up: Wipe down the item afterwards to remove any residual compound.
