🔧 What it does & how to use
This dapping/press block shapes flat ring and earring blanks into an even, repeating wave form, giving a professional undulating finish without any specialist power equipment. It's suited to both hobbyist jewellery makers and small workshops.
To use, place your metal blank into the wave-form recess in the block, then tap it firmly and evenly with a hammer until the metal has taken up the shape of the waves. Working from the centre outwards and tapping evenly helps keep the wave pattern consistent along the length of the piece. The tool is sold in versions with different numbers of waves, so the finished pattern will vary depending on which one you choose.
