🔧 What it does & how to use

A soldering board gives you a stable, heat-resistant surface to solder on, protecting your bench and holding heat in the work area so joints flow evenly. The drilled holes let you pin small parts in place with soldering pins or wire, and let heat and gas escape rather than building up under the piece. Suitable for both hobbyist and professional jewellery and watch/clock repair work.

• Set up: Place the board on a heatproof bench surface, away from flammable materials.
• Position the work: Rest or pin your piece over the holes using soldering pins, tweezers or binding wire.
• Apply flux and solder: Flux the joint and add your solder paste, paillons or wire as normal.
• Heat evenly: Direct your torch flame onto the piece, using the ceramic surface to reflect and hold heat for a consistent solder flow.
• Cool and clean: Allow the board and piece to cool before handling, then pickle and clean the finished work as usual.
• Aftercare: Let the board cool fully between uses and brush off any solder or flux residue to keep it flat and even.
