🔧 What it does & how to use

This is a dry wax lubricant used at the bench by jewellers, engravers, clock and watchmakers to keep cutting and drilling tools running smoothly. Applying it to a burr, saw blade, graver, drill, tap/die or diamond tool reduces friction and heat, which helps stop the tool binding, chipping or burning out — and because it's a wax rather than an oil, it stays put on the tool without running, dripping or leaving an oily residue on your work.

• Select your tool: have the burr, blade, graver, drill, tap/die or diamond tool ready before you start cutting.
• Apply the wax: touch or lightly rub the cutting edge or working surface of the tool onto the wax block.
• Cut as normal: use the tool on your material — the wax coating reduces drag and heat build-up as you work.
• Re-apply as needed: top up the wax periodically during longer jobs or once cutting starts to feel harder, to keep extending tool life.
