A soldering pick is a bench essential for jewellers, silversmiths and watch repairers working with molten solder. The titanium tip doesn't adhere to or contaminate precious metals, so you can move, hold and spread molten gold or silver solder without the pick sticking to the workpiece — unlike steel picks, which can pick up solder and transfer contamination.

• Spread evenly: run the tip along the joint to encourage the solder to flow and fill the gap smoothly.
