🔧 What it does & how to use

Brass wire brushes are used for light cleaning, polishing and buffing of metal surfaces — ideal for watch and clock case work, jewellery cleaning, and general workshop use. Being softer than steel wire, brass is gentler on softer metals and plated finishes, making it a good choice where you want to lift dirt and light tarnish without heavy scratching. As these are supplied unmounted, they need fitting to a compatible mandrel or collet before use in a rotary tool or Dremel.

• Fit the brush: mount onto a suitable mandrel or collet sized to the brush's centre hole.
• Secure it: tighten in the rotary tool's chuck or collet as you would any accessory.
• Set a moderate speed: start low to avoid flinging debris or damaging delicate surfaces.
• Work the surface: apply light, even pressure and let the brush do the cleaning/polishing.
• Clean the brush: tap out trapped debris regularly to keep bristles effective.
