The solid stainless steel base holds a selection of 9 stakes in different sizes, so you can match the stake to the bore of the hand being fitted. Simply select the stake that matches the hand's centre hole, place the hand over the pinion, position the correct stake over the hand's boss, and press down firmly and evenly (by hand or with light tapping) to seat the hand securely and squarely onto the pinion.
