🔧 What it does & how to use

These are hand-setting (hand-pressing) tools used to fit hour, minute and second hands onto a watch movement's arbors without damaging the hands or the movement. Each tool has a presser at both ends, and with three tools supplied you get six different sizes to choose from, so you can match the presser to the diameter of the hand's centre hole and pivot.

To use, place the movement securely on a movement holder, position the hand onto its correct pivot, then select the presser size that fits snugly over that pivot. Gently and evenly press straight down over the centre of the hand until it seats fully onto the pivot — the presser spreads the pressure evenly across the hand so it doesn't bend or crack, unlike pushing with tweezers or fingers alone. Repeat with the appropriate size for each hand (hour, minute, second).

A useful basic tool for hobbyists and watch repairers alike when replacing hands during servicing, battery changes, or repairs.
