This tool is designed for pressing watch hands (hour, minute and second) onto their respective pinions without damaging the movement. It applies even pressure directly onto the hand's hub, avoiding contact with the delicate hour wheel or cannon pinion beneath — a common cause of movement damage when hands are fitted by hand or with unsuitable tools. Being reversible, it can be used from either side to suit different hand types or working positions, making it useful for both hobbyist watch repairers and professional watchmakers.

• Position the movement: Support the movement securely, dial side up, on a movement holder or similar.
• Place the hand: Locate the hand (hour, minute or second) onto its correct pinion by hand, keeping it level.
• Select the pressing side: Turn the tool to the appropriate reversible face for the hand being fitted.
• Align the tool: Position the tool centrally over the hand's hub, avoiding the hour wheel and cannon pinion.
• Apply pressure: Press down gently and evenly until the hand is seated firmly and sits flat.
• Check the fit: Confirm the hand rotates freely without catching, then repeat for the remaining hands.
