This is a simple hand-setting tool used by watch repairers and hobbyists to press hour, minute and seconds hands back onto the movement's hand posts after a repair, battery change or dial service. The nylon pushing end contacts the hand directly, so it won't mark, scratch or discolour the metal finish the way a bare metal punch could.
To use: place the hands squarely onto their respective posts by hand, then use the nylon tip to apply gentle, even downward pressure until each hand seats firmly and turns freely without catching on the dial. Work on one hand at a time, checking clearance before pressing the next, and take care not to bend or misalign the hands during fitting.
