🔧 What it does & how to use

This set is used for pressing watch hands onto the movement's centre pinions safely and squarely, without risking damage to the dial or the movement itself. Each of the 3 tools has a different sized hole running through it, giving 6 hole sizes in total to choose from.

To use: select a tool with a hole slightly larger than the hand's centre hole, then rest the hand on the movement pinion with the tool positioned over it. Press down on the tool (by hand or with a staking press) so the hand is guided down onto the pinion while the surrounding movement parts pass harmlessly through the larger hole beneath. Choosing a hole close in size to the hand gives full control over the press, letting you seat the hand firmly and evenly without knocking or bending other components.
