🔧 What it does & how to use
This bench tool is designed for watch and clock repairers fitting new hands onto a movement without bending the pivot or marking the dial. A central pressing post holds the punch vertical as it travels down, so pressure goes straight through the hand and onto the movement's centre arbor rather than off to one side. The kit comes with 9 stakes of different sizes, so you can match the fitting bit to the hole in the hand for a clean, controlled push-fit.

Select the stake: choose the fitting bit whose diameter matches the hole in the hand you're setting.

Fit the stake: place the chosen stake into the pressing post so it sits vertically above the movement.

Position the movement: rest the movement (dial up, hands removed) securely under the post.

Place the hand: sit the new hand over the correct arbor (hour, minute or second).

Press down: lower the post steadily so the stake pushes the hand square onto the arbor, without twisting.

Check the fit: confirm the hand sits flat, moves freely and doesn't catch on the dial or other hands.
⚠️ Please check that you select a stake size close to the hand's hole diameter before pressing — too large or too small a stake can damage the hand or the arbor.
