🔧 What it does & how to use

A benzine cup is used by watch and clock repairers to soak, rinse and degrease movement parts, cases and components using benzine, alcohol or similar cleaning solutions. The fitted lid keeps solvent fumes contained and slows evaporation between uses, and is equally handy for jewellery cleaning tasks.

• Fill: Pour a small amount of benzine or alcohol into the cup, enough to fully cover the parts being cleaned.
• Soak: Place watch parts, screws or small components into the solution and leave to loosen dirt, oil and grease.
• Agitate: Gently swirl or use tweezers/a brush to work the solution into hard-to-reach areas.
• Rinse: Remove parts and allow to dry, or transfer to a second cup of clean solvent for a final rinse.
• Cover: Fit the glass lid over the cup between uses to reduce evaporation and contain fumes.
