🔧 What it does & how to use
This is a manually adjustable disc/hole punch made from high carbon steel, designed to punch clean circles out of flat sheet metal. Unlike simple fixed punches, the handle opens and closes the plates so you can clamp securely onto whichever thickness of material you're working with, up to 2mm steel.
Select the punch and matching die for the circle size you need (11 sizes included, 1/8" to 1"), position your sheet metal between the plates, and either strike the tool with a hammer or use it in a press to punch the disc cleanly through. It's a popular tool for jewellery making — cutting blanks for pendants, discs and settings — but it's equally handy for any hobby or workshop task that needs a neat circle punched from sheet steel, gold, silver, platinum or aluminium. Suitable for both hobbyist jewellers and anyone doing general sheet metal work. Note that the tool is fairly heavy, which is reflected in the postage cost.
