🔧 What it does & how to use
A bench press for fitting watch glasses and case backs on quartz watches, suited to both hobbyist repairers and professional watchmakers. Turning the screw down onto the die applies even, controlled pressure, which reduces the risk of cracking a crystal or marking a case compared with a sudden strike.

Deep glass fitting: Choose one of the 11 deep aluminium dies (17mm–40mm) and use it at the top of the press to seat a deep crystal with its retaining ring.

Fitting case backs: Turn the same deep aluminium die over and use it at the bottom of the press to fit round case backs.

Gold-plated cases: Lay a piece of linen over the deep die before pressing to cushion the case and protect plated finishes.

Square cases: Fit one of the 4 flat aluminium dies at the bottom of the press, paired with the base die, to press backs onto square watch cases.

Round cases (alternative method): Use one of the plastic dies at the bottom with the base die as an optional way to fit backs on round cases.

Base die: Keep the base die in place underneath whichever top die you're using for square or round case-back work.
