🔧 What it does & how to use
A crystal lift is used by watchmakers and hobbyists to safely remove and refit plastic or acrylic watch crystals without scratching the case or crystal edge. Its adjustable jaws grip the rim of the crystal so it can be lifted clear or eased back into place, making it a handy bench tool for anyone servicing or repairing watches.
-
Adjust the jaws: turn the thumbscrew to open the jaws to match the diameter of the crystal you're working on, up to 48mm
-
Position: place the jaws around the outer edge of the crystal, keeping them level
-
Grip: squeeze the handles together so the jaws close firmly on the crystal's rim
-
Lift out: rock and lift gently to release the old crystal from the case
-
Refit: use the same grip to lower a new crystal evenly into the case, easing it in without forcing one side
⚠️ Please check this lift is designed for plastic/acrylic crystals only — it isn't suitable for glass or sapphire crystals, which need different fitting tools.
