🔧 What it does & how to use

A ceramic crucible dish for melting small quantities of precious and base metals ready for casting, refining or recycling scrap. Popular with jewellers, hobbyist metalworkers and dental technicians working with alloys.

• Load the dish: place your gold, silver, platinum, copper or dental alloy scrap into the ceramic dish.
• Apply heat: use a suitable torch or kiln to heat the metal within the dish, up to the dish's 2800° rating.
• Melt fully: keep heating until the metal is fully liquid and free of solid lumps.
• Pour: use the moulded pouring lip to tip the molten metal cleanly into your mould or ingot bar.
• Cool and handle safely: allow the dish to cool fully before handling, and always use heatproof tongs when the dish is hot.
